Who we are
Ornaplaster is an ornamental plaster studio in Seattle, Washington. “We” and “us” on this page means Ornaplaster.
What you send us
When you use the contact form, the photo estimate, the project list or the newsletter sign-up, we receive what you enter: your name, email address, phone number, company, country or ZIP code, an address if you give one, your message, any photos, and the pieces on your list. We use it to answer you, to prepare an estimate or a quote, and to arrange the work. We keep the enquiry and our replies with it, so we can follow the job through. Photos you send are stored with our hosting provider and are not published.
We don’t sell the information you send us.
How you found us
On your first visit your browser remembers, in its own storage on your device (not a cookie), the page you arrived on, the site that sent you and any campaign tags in the link, for up to 90 days. If you then send us a form, that goes with it, so we know which of our pages and channels work. Clearing this site’s data in your browser removes it.
Visit statistics
Vercel Web Analytics counts page views: the pages visited, the site that referred you, your country, and your kind of device and browser. It sets no cookies and does not identify you; it tells visits apart with an anonymous code that resets every day.
We also count a few actions: sending a form, adding a piece to the project list, and tapping a phone number, WhatsApp, an email address or one of our social pages. These counts carry the page you were on and, for a form, the kind of request, never what you typed.
Recordings and heatmaps
We use Microsoft Clarity to see how people use the site (where they click, how far they scroll, and recordings of visits) so we can fix what is confusing or broken. What you type into our forms is masked and not recorded. Clarity sets cookies to recognize a returning browser, and keeps recordings for a limited time. Visitors from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland get no Clarity cookies unless they agree to them. Microsoft handles this data under the Microsoft Privacy Statement.
Which companies visit
We use visitor tools from Apollo.io and Instantly. They look at the network a visit comes from and match it against business directories, to tell us which companies visit our site and, where their databases hold it, business contact details for people at those companies. We use this to understand which firms are interested in our work, and we may contact them about it. These tools may set their own cookies, and each provider handles this data under its own privacy policy: Apollo.io, Instantly.
Emails from us
We email architects, designers, builders and other businesses about our work, at business addresses found in public sources such as business directories and company websites. Every such email says how to stop: use its unsubscribe link, or reply and ask, and we won’t email that address again. The newsletter has its own unsubscribe link in every issue.
Who helps us
- Vercel: hosting this site, its visit statistics, and storing photos you send.
- Neon: the database that holds enquiries and our records of them.
- Resend and our email host: sending our replies and confirmations.
- Instantly: sending our emails to businesses, and its visitor tool.
- Apollo.io: its visitor tool.
- Microsoft Clarity: recordings and heatmaps.
- OpenAI: AI that helps us read messages and draft our emails and replies.
Each works for us under its own terms, which limit what it may do with this information.
How long we keep it
Enquiries and the records of work we did for you are kept as long as they are useful to the job and to our business records. You can ask us to delete yours at any time (below). The tools above keep their own data for their own set periods.
Your choices
- Ask for a copy of what we hold about you, or for it to be corrected or deleted: email sales@ornaplaster.com.
- Stop our emails with the unsubscribe link in any of them, or by replying.
- Block or clear cookies and site data in your browser. The site still works without them.
Children
This site is for homeowners and the building trades. It is not meant for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes
When what we do changes, this page changes with it, and the date at the top says when. Questions: sales@ornaplaster.com, or see Contact.
