Installation and restoration

Luxury work is in the details

Ornamental plaster only looks right when it is finished properly: mitres cut on site, joints pointed and made good, ornament set to a true line and left ready for paint. We take the same care over a single rosette as over a whole ceiling, around Seattle and on job sites across the country.

Ornament reads by its shadow

Depth of relief matters more than pattern. We model undercuts deep enough that the ornament still reads at ceiling height, under the light the room actually has — which is why we ask about the room before we quote, wherever in the world it is.

How a piece is made

From clay to ceiling

01

Modelled

Sculpted by hand in clay at full size by a modeller — not milled from a file.

02

Moulded

A silicone mould is cut from the finished model, holding every undercut and leaf edge.

03

Cast

GRP, GRC or fibre-reinforced gypsum — cast hollow, cured on the bench, lighter than it looks.

04

Fitted or shipped

Set and pointed by our own crew anywhere in the United States, or crated and freighted to your site for your own fixer.
