About this piece
Cast-plaster components form a circular ceiling design organized around concentric raised rings. The inner field carries layered flowers and curled acanthus foliage, while the broad outer field opens into interlaced arabesques, beaded loops, small blossoms and palmette-like sprays. Fine stems cross beneath the heavier scrollwork, giving the relief a laced appearance. Cast in our Seattle studio, the design can be installed individually or repeated within a coffered ceiling, with the component joints finished as part of the assembled plasterwork.
