About this piece
Cast plaster forms a full-round column divided into contrasting shaft treatments. The smooth upper section meets a scroll-enriched collar with layered floral swags, while the lower shaft carries a raised lattice pattern framed by trailing ornament and a bead-like border. Deeply modelled acanthus leaves and curled volutes define the Corinthian capital above. The column suits formal entrance compositions, paired architectural openings and Beaux-Arts interiors. It is modelled, moulded and cast in our Seattle studio.
