About this piece
Cast plaster columns and pilasters carry narrow vertical fluting across the upper shaft, then loosen into irregular wave-like channels toward the foot. The transition gives a familiar architectural shaft an organic lower register while retaining a restrained, symmetrical outline. Shown both as an individual round shaft and as paired entrance columns, the design suits door surrounds, interior openings and other framed architectural compositions. Each piece is modelled, moulded and cast in our Seattle studio, with finished castings available in GRP, GRC or fibre-reinforced gypsum.
