About this piece
Cast plaster capitals & bases are built around a square profile, with a broad enriched head and stepped foot mouldings. The capital is modelled in deep relief with paired volutes, layered acanthus leaves, C-scrolls, floral bosses and a pendant cartouche arrangement. Crisp undercutting gives the foliage distinct shadow while the plain central field keeps the ornament legible. Cast in our Seattle studio, these capitals & bases suit formal Baroque interiors and historic restoration work, with casting materials selected for the project.
