About this piece
Cast capitals & bases combine a broad, deeply veined acanthus leaf with curled corner volutes, recessed rosette centers and a rounded bead course. The square abacus projects above the carving, while the bases provide stepped plinths and moulded transitions for round shafts. Strong undercutting gives the leaf tips and scrolls clear shadow lines at an entrance or within a formal interior. Modelled, moulded and cast in our Seattle studio, these capitals & bases are available in GRP, GRC or fibre-reinforced gypsum.
