About this piece
Cast material forms a framed wall relief panel modelled as an enlarged woven construction. Raised twisted strands run vertically, horizontally and diagonally, crossing in an irregular geometric lattice over a densely worked, pebble-like field. The varying relief catches raking light across the braided edges, intersections and recessed texture. Used alone, the panel reads as a contained decorative field; repeated panels can form a broader feature wall. The hand-modelled surface retains slight variations that reinforce the textile character of the relief.
