About this piece
Cast material forms a flowering tree in layered relief against a plain rectangular field. A twisting, striated trunk rises from exposed roots into spreading branches, broad blossoms, clustered buds and small leaves. Open spaces between the limbs give the composition a light structure, while the raised flowers and fine stems create varied projection and shadow. The wall panel suits a framed decorative field, a feature-wall composition or a repeated arrangement of relief panels.
