About this piece
Cast ornament forms this circular ceiling medallion around a recessed central field for a chandelier or pendant. Two overlapping ranks of pointed petals radiate outward, each enclosing a raised scrolling floral sprig. Smaller palmette-like leaves and rounded beads fill the spaces between the petals, creating a dense, symmetrical pattern with clearly defined relief. Concentric moulded bands frame the ornament and give the perimeter a smooth architectural finish. The ceiling medallion suits Moorish-inspired interiors, formal rooms and decorative ceiling schemes requiring a strong radial centrepiece.
