About this piece
Cast plaster forms this Rococo ceiling medallion as a broad, scalloped centrepiece for a chandelier or pendant. A ribbed central boss is surrounded by radial foliage and a gridded field of small flowerheads. Concentric moulded bands organise the centre, while the outer relief opens into mirrored shell fans, scrolling leaves, ribbon-like loops, and clustered roses. The oblique view shows pronounced projection through the shells and scrolls, with crisp recessed patterning nearer the centre. It suits formal reception rooms, salons, dining rooms, and richly detailed residential ceilings.
