About this piece
Cast plaster ceiling medallion formed around a many-petalled central rosette and a ring of interlaced teardrop arabesques. Eight radiating sections carry paired floral palmettes, curled leaves, bead details, and layered scrollwork against recessed grounds. Raised outlines define the ornament and give the ceiling medallion clear relief across its octagonal field.
