About this piece
Cast plaster forms a layered circular ceiling medallion built from a broad central acanthus rosette, radiating petals, a beaded ring and a continuous band of foliate scrolls. A raised circular moulding separates the inner field from a deeply relieved lacework border of repeated leaves and clustered flowers, with crisp recesses that hold shadow. Cast in our Seattle studio, this ceiling medallion suits chandelier and pendant settings in formal rooms, restoration interiors and richly detailed ceiling schemes.
