About this piece
This cast appliqué centers a lidded urn within a slender framework of paired scrolls, acanthus leaves and pendant floral garlands. Bouquets crown the upper corners, while knotted ribbons, clustered flowers and a pointed foliate drop finish the lower edge. The open spacing keeps the composition legible against a painted door, cabinet face, furniture panel or framed wall field. Cast in our Seattle studio, the ornament can merge with surrounding woodwork or be finished as a contrasting decorative appliqué.
