About this piece
Dense relief wraps the full-round column from its basket-weave foot to the concentric bands at the top. Bead-and-reel and guilloche borders frame a lower register of upright acanthus leaves. Above, layered scrolls, floral rosettes, small urn forms and framed panels create a deeply modelled central shaft. Repeating palmettes and overlapping leaf bands complete the upper section. Modelled and cast in our Seattle studio, this ornamental column suits paired entrances, covered porches and richly detailed interior colonnades.
