About this piece
Cast capitals and bases combine a deep Corinthian leaf basket with a restrained, molded foot. Two ranks of acanthus rise beneath a scrolling foliate band, with pierced details, curled leaf tips and a fine bead course producing distinct shadow lines. The companion bases use stacked rounded moldings to provide a clear transition from shaft to plinth. Made in our Seattle studio and cast to suit the required shaft size, these capitals and bases are available in GRP, GRC or fibre-reinforced gypsum, or as silicone moulds.
