About this piece
Cast ornament forms a richly worked Baroque fireplace surround with a projecting mantel shelf and a layered central cartouche. Deep acanthus scrolls spread across the frieze and rise from the lower jambs, where open rosettes anchor the foliage. Fruit clusters, braided cords and pendant tassels bring vertical detail to each side, while scrolled corner brackets support the upper profile. The fireplace surround is modelled and cast in our Seattle studio for formal libraries, parlours and period interiors requiring substantial relief and symmetrical ornament.
